Jura Islander Series

Telling the Islanders’ Story

Brand Identity

Brief

Jura is a whisky defined by warmth and approachability, distilled on the island of Jura by a small and close-knit community. Rooted in connection, generosity and shared moments, the brand is guided by its North Star: “Life’s better shared.”

How do you translate that spirit into a retail experience? How do you create a story that evokes a distinct sense of time and place, while capturing the ease, warmth and conviviality of meaningful connection?

Big Idea

We envisioned a brand world inspired by friends gathering among the sand dunes of a Scottish island beach, sharing Jura in the golden light of sunset. Our challenge was to craft a design language capable of expressing that atmosphere through form, materiality and colour.

The palette was led by burnt orange, soft yellow and warm tan tones. Materials were natural, tactile and gently weathered, while the forms subtly abstracted the fluid contours of sand dunes and beach grass.

This design language was then distilled into a comprehensive toolkit for the off-trade and GTR channels, equipping marketeers globally with the assets needed to activate the brand with consistency and impact in their local markets — from typography and graphic guidelines to key visuals, retail furniture, activation concepts and digital communications.

Result

The guidelines are now supporting the global rollout of the Jura Islanders’ Series, and Jordan Design have created bespoke activations across a number of GTR locations.

  • Creative, Design & Spatial Strategy
  • Brand Identity & 3D Design Language
  • Global Guidelines & Toolkits
  • GTR Global retail Design

A warm and welcoming design language captures life’s everyday golden moments. Natural textures, shared rituals and authentic island storytelling invite shoppers to discover the connections between Jura’s people, place and whisky.

We created a cohesive retail toolkit, extending the new brand language seamlessly across printed POS, retail furniture, pop-up activations and digital communications.
